- As we are unable to accept students in Year 11 and Year 13 due to the nature of the British Curriculum, we would like to inform you that we have within the Taaleem group, 3 IB curriculum schools that could be an option for you. - Students already enrolled in another Dubai British School campus, must discuss the transfer request with the Head of School or Principal before applying.
- Secondary Applications: Due to KHDA restrictions on transfers within Dubai for Secondary students, only overseas applications will be considered for Term 2 and Term 3 in each academic year.
WAITING LIST DEFINITIONS
Open – We accept applications on the waiting list and anticipate making admission offers, however, we cannot guarantee place availability to all who apply. Waiting lists are maintained for all year groups and applicants may be waitlisted after assessment, depending on availability.
Waitlist – Applications are accepted into the waiting list on the caveat that all year group places have been offered, and we do not have places to offer today. Students will be invited for assessment and places offered from the waiting list if a place becomes available.
Closed – Waiting lists are kept open until the cap is reached, then they are closed, and no further applications are accepted. Note, we will accept applications from DBS Group staff, siblings, and corporate debentures even if closed.
AGE ELIGIBILITY
We are a British Curriculum School that follows the 13-year system. All Taaleem Schools place students in age-appropriate grade/year group levels following the Ministry of Education KHDA regulations.
- FS1 to Year 2: Students are placed strictly according to date of birth if they are not currently registered in a school in Dubai.
- Year 3 to Year 12: Regardless of date of birth, students are normally placed in the year group immediately following the year they are currently completing or have completed at their current school.
